Engagement Session | Firefighter | Tree Tops Park | Yanetsy + Alex

Capturing these two was so much fun!  Engagement sessions are a great way to express a little bit of personality and give a visual representation of this chapter in their love story.  We started the shoot at Alex’s fire station and ended it at Tree Tops Park in Davie, FL.  Keep reading to learn about how it all began in their own words:

How they met:

We met on the night of January 13, 2018, at a Brickell bar called Blackbird, we were both out celebrating birthdays. That night, Alex saw me taking a selfie with my friends and approached me to tell me he was a “professional photographer” and offered to take it instead. After that, he came to where my friends and I were hanging out and struck up a conversation with me. I gave him a little bit of a hard time, making fun of his “professional photographer” line, turned down his offers to buy me a drink, and even maintained some distance between us so he wouldn’t get “confianza” but he wouldn’t leave my side no matter what. The way he explains it, he knew I was something special from the second he met me and nothing was going to take him away. As we got to talking we really hit it off. He even stayed behind with me even after all his friends told him they were leaving for the night and didn’t leave until I left. He then asked if he could see me again. We went out on our first date two weeks later and we have been inseparable ever since.

The big proposal:

The proposal! Since I was a little girl my dream was to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower so for my 30th birthday we decided to go there and celebrate such a milestone. Little did I know that Alex was going to propose on the first day in Paris when we visited the Eiffel Tower. He had the whole thing planned, in the morning we had tickets to go up the tower and in the afternoon we wanted to go to The lawn where they have the picnics in front of it. As we got to the lawn area he asked me to stand in front of it while he set up his tripod for a photo. What he was really doing was setting up the camera to catch the whole thing on video. He came over, got down on one knee, and cried as he told me I was the most incredible person he had ever met and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Of course, I said yes! and everyone around us started clapping. The best part was that when we went to see the video, he had gotten so nervous he turned it off by mistake and only recorded 4 seconds of me standing waiting for him. It was the best day!

We are excited to capture the rest of their love story on their wedding day!  Are you recently engaged too?  We would love to hear more about it.  Contact us today and let's chat. Love is not canceled and we want to capture it all!
